go see “me” week…

As expected, my week was fully loaded, I barely had time to write or even check my blog. It felt like the week was not enough to do all the stuff that needs to be done. I have 2 presentations, 2 go sees and 1 fitting, on top of that I need to fix the samples to be returned and buy boxers for the Fashion Show! Waaaaaaaaaaaaa! I’m not complaining though, I just need a breather. I love my job! Thank you Lord for giving this job to me.

First things first, the 2^nd and 3^rd presentations is finished. Done with it and hopefully that will be the last of its kind for the season. I really need to improve and get use to these kinds of presentations, I know for a fact that this will not be the last time that I will do this. I can do it! I know I can!

It was my first time to do a Go See, I do not know what the process is and what to expect, I just know we need models for our media launch. I was excited to do it because I see models lining up in the lobby every time our Brand/ Marketing have their Go Sees. Now it’s my turn to meet models and screen them one by one. Weeeee! Not! We were so stressed because Go See Day 1 gave us 4 potential models, FYI we screened 20+ men, in their underwear and in how they present themselves! Stress Drilon ito! We need 4 more to complete the 8 looks that we have. Then Day 2 came, it started a little better because we have different varieties to choose from. A mix of Brazilian Models who stripped naked (Awkward!) in front of us, Pinoy models who were a little conservative than the foreigners and some cute and sexy mix races. If our Day 1 was “Hipon ako, may angal ka?” our Day 2 is “Katawan pa lang ulam na, may desert pang-mukha” Hahaha!

I’m not sure if doing Go Sees will affect me in my choices of men. I was telling my office mate that it will be their fault if my standards in men will be bit higher than usual. Blame it on good looking men, coming to our Go Sees, Haha! Maybe I should also have my own Go See for my future BF? What do you think? Haha! This is crazy, Haha! No sure if anyone would show up though, hahaha! Anyways, we are still short of 3 models for our key looks, so Go See will continue on Monday. Please Lord! Make the perfect model for the look come on Monday. Please! Please! I’m tired of looking for the perfect guy for me! I mean perfect guy for the look. Hopefully we can complete the 8 models by Monday, so that I can move on and concentrate on my outfit for the event.

It was indeed a tiring and stressful week, but it was fun fun fun! I’m excited to start my week tomorrow to a trip to Tagaytay with my office mates. It’s really nice to have a breather for all the stress that work gives us. Need to sleep now, or else, they will kill me for not waking up early. Good night!

I never enjoyed Valentine’s like I have this year. I was excited to go to the office today because we have a little project called “i ♥ khakis – i ♥ dockers® shirt day.” We gave everyone in the office a white shirt with a print “i ♥ khakis – i ♥ dockers®” and asked them to meet us in the lobby for a photo op, I asked some of my office mates to wear khaki for their bottoms today for a full effect of the project. Work Hard and Play Harder…

Work! Work! Work! Thank God I have work. I was busier than usual this week, I had to prepare presentations for our dealers but I have to present it to my boss first. The schedule for our first dealer presentation was Friday but I have to show my presentation to my boss the day before it. We were discussing about future project of the brand before our dreaded “production number.” The mood was light, but why am I feeling like I’m about to vomit? I feel sick from the fact that I will be talking in front of people I barely know. Scary!

It’s my first time to do this so I was a nerve wreck! Panicking like doomsday is in the room with us. My presentation with my boss went OK, we did some revisions but all in all it was good. I was inspired to edit my power point presentation after the meeting. I did everything to make it more interesting, added pictures, made some animation effects and the likes. Before ending my working hours I decided to print my edited power point, for me to do my notes as the meeting goes on. I saved my work in our common drive before leaving.

After work we went to the wake of my former office mate’s father in law. I only knew his father in law from the news updates regarding his death and some, but I decided to go there because I want to show my support to my former office mate and her family. The mood in the wake was really depressing. I really feel the sorrow of the family because no one was expecting what happened, no one to blame because he took his own life. It was a long day indeed, I was so tired and I carried the mood of the wake as I went home. *Sad*

Presentation day came, it was so traffic! Long lines, traffic, no carpool and crazy rush hour! I arrived in the office just in time to review my presentation. I opened the saved file in the common drive only to find out that the edited power point is missing! OMG! WTH! I SAVED MY FILE! WHAT HAPPENED!!! I discovered this 30 minutes before the meeting starts! Oh no! What will I do?! Good thing I printed my edited presentation last night, I edited the file like I was fighting for my life! I did not eat my breakfast, no coffee, not even water. I was so tensed. I did not even apply my make-up. I was about to cry but I chose not to, I needed my energy! So there, I finished it on time. Whew! Thank God the meeting went well. 

Party time! Rhea invited me to join her and her friends to the RX “Singles” Party. Who me? Party? Singles Party? NO way! Hahaha! But I can’t beg off or else she will kill me, haha! Before the party started and while waiting for her friends to arrive, we had a BIG dinner in Uncle Cheffy. How big? Let’s just say we ate an equal fair share of pizza and baby back ribs. The pizza was good for 3-4 persons and the ribs were good for 2-3 persons. Hindi kame gutom, haha! TAOB! Haha!

We went to the party venue and met Rhea’s friend, the party was about to start. Vodka and Sprite was our choice of drinks for the night, it was fun meeting new people. I never regret that I joined the party. I totally forgot how stressful my day began, I’m just glad I got out of it alive, haha! I must admit I was a little tipsy when I tried to withdraw cab money before I went home. As a consequence of my drunken ATM moment, I pinned the wrong pin. Booo! I ended up borrowing some cash from my friend just for my cab, haha! I’m so embarrassed. Note to self, never use the ATM when drunk, or else, haha! I arrived home safely, and slept until 12nn. What a way to end my Friday. I love it!

busy bee… all is well and happy! :)

My social calendar has never been this busy! Not that I’m complaining but since last week I am on a roll! From my afternoon jog/ walks with Jamie, to shopping with Claire and Pietro to my jam-packed Outlook emails! When it rains it really pours. Oh my! Happy to be a busy bee to keep my mind off things.  Quoting my boss “Idle mind Evil thoughts” hahaha! What a way to brain wash me to do all his reports. Well to tell you frankly I am not planning to do all the sulking and forget all my other responsibilities. I still function the same in the office, at home and in my free time.

Can’t wait for this coming weekend! Despite the busy busy busy schedule that I will have next week, I will have my reward on Friday! WEEEEEEEE! Acuatico Beach Resort here we come! Can’t believe we will have our intimate group outing this weekend! Ha! What  a way to relax and leave the my city life, even just for a day. Super looking forward to hang out with my office mates and their families. Another much-needed break.

So many things to do, so little time… Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving this kind of schedule now. Just in time to save me from my occasional emo breakdowns. To all my friends and family, thanks for taking care of me. Thanks for being there when I need you. Thanks for staying with me through thick and thin. Who can ask for more when I got you guys? I can never re-pay what you’re doing for me now, but I will fight to death for you guys. PROMISE! and this promise will never be broken! I love you so much!

I am a Volunteer…

First time in Levi’s Philippines history that we are going to have a community day on a week day. Finally! My prayers has been answered! Haha! On May 5, we will go back to La Mesa Eco Park for our CIT this year. La Mesa Eco Park is very memorable place to me. This was our venue when I first participated as a CIT Volunteer. I think it was 2 years ago when we had our tree planting here. This was when I first met Mac, the dog.

I was really not aware how fulfilling it feels when you participate in CIT. There were so many limitations that prevent me from joining this activity. First locations of the previous CITs were far from my place. Second it was done during weekends. Third I was new in Levi’s and my team mates were not that really that active in CIT. Well, things changed when we had our CIT in La Mesa Eco Park. It was near my place, Kuya Bril was joining but still done on weekend. Two out of Three, not bad. So I decided to join.

This year, I am getting my three requirements, haha! So I better not bail on the volunteerism that I am about to do.  I am so excited I just got my shirt a while ago. All I can say is that I love it! The color, the fabric and the print. It is so simple, yet meaningful.   I also want to visit the Dao seedlings that we planted some years ago, hopefully this year I can plant 7 seedlings or more to complete my 10, haha! So Sick… of what???

I filed for sick leave today, I have been planning to do this because of the stress I am feeling in the office. I was thinking of doing this last week but my urge to go to the office to earn keeps on winning, then Sunday came. Yesterday, I woke up with a massive headache, I can’t get up, but I managed to kick myself out of bed to enjoy the rest of the Sunday with Jon. We were set to watch Date Night yesterday and go to mass after the movie. We were in Eastwood at about 12 noon time and just in time to buy our tickets for the 1:20PM showing. We ate at McDo near the Cinemas so as not to rush when the movie starts. I was feeling a little dizzy and cold but I do not like to spoil the date that we have so I tried my very best to act as normal as I can.

When it was time to go home, I was feeling some body aches and a little feverish. After the movie we went home to get my car because his car will be used by his sister for some errands. We were in convoy when we went to their house. We hang out in Jon’s house just to wait for the mass to start. I was in the bed chatting with Diane when I felt that I was really sick, I had a fever and Jon suggested that I get home instead of going to mass.  Well due to my stubborn personality, haha! We went to mass instead. We were late, so we stayed behind. Standing was not a good idea with what I was feeling yesterday, I was using a lot of my energy so as an end result, we did not even finish the mass, I went home.

I arrived home and ate something just for me to drink my medicine. I was chatting with Diane as usual before going to bed. As I was about to shut my eyes last night, I was thinking why did I get sick? Is it because of the unpredictable weather? Is it because I do not take care of myself? Or is it about the stress I was having at work? Hmmm… I have so many things bothering me that affects my health, this morning I have decided to file for sick leave just to de-stress myself just for today. Free from anything work related, haha! Today I will stop thinking about my pendings, emails and my problems at work. I need a breather! Haaaaayyyy!

Moving on March…

Its mid- March already and this is just my first entry for the month. Bummer! I’ve been so busy with work to avoid pending before I go for my vacation, that is the main reason I have not blogged for the past weeks. Too tied up in finishing reports and to my dismay I miss one of them, erk!

I was scheduled to travel with my friends on the second week of March for Singapore to visit our friends there. We have planned this since September last year, we have availed the promo fare from Cebu Pacific. Well, I will elaborate more on my other entry about this trip. I was really excited and happy that finally we were leaving our lives here even just for a while. Weeee!

Perfect vacation with the perfect people to be with. Then the unthinkable happened, I was awaken by a call from the office at 10:38AM. I was stunned and speechless, because one, I just woke up, and two because of the tirade of words I received from the other line. I know must have been my fault, but I don’t think it was fair that I was treated that way. I have what she was asking, it’s just that it was saved in my desktop. I was willing to give her my password for her to retrieve it but all I got was scolding.

So much for me having a grand vacation. That phone call almost ruined my vacation. Good thing I have this “me not dwelling in the past” attitude. Haaayyy! Let’s wait and see what will happen next. This is me in my “not so excited” mode. Hmp!

the holiday hangover….

Holidays are over and I grew older, I can’t get over my long vacation leave. I want more!!! I had my first day in the office yesterday, a total of 237 emails, with 3 junk mails greeted me in Outlook. Sorted them first then answered the important once. A part of me was glad that I was back to work but I felt very lazy and sleepy. As the afternoon progressed, I was excited to go home. I missed Toshiko, my bed, late night chats and sleepless nights. I can’t wait for the weekend to come.

I went home at exactly 5PM a while ago, to return my buy to Just G because of some tear at the back of the blouse. I bought some stuff in the boutique last Sunday as a gift for my self for my birthday. Well first thing’s first, I bought rompers again, haha! I don’t know why I’m loving this trend. Here is the picture of my last rompers buy, you may not appreciate as its lying on the floor, but this is so cute when worn.

Uhm… Back to my story, I approached the counter in Just G to show my purchase yesterday. The sales lady told me that I can only choose something from their SALE rack. I did not find anything that I like in their SALE rack and have decided to refund my money, good thing the sales lady got an approval from their manager that I can choose the replacement from their regular priced pieces.  Having limited choices because of size limitations, I chose a sleeveless number with side pockets. Not really happy with my purchase but, they left me no choice, I’m thinking of selling this in eBay. Hopefully someone will buy it.

As Diane would say “Oh Well Papel” back to the real world. No more Simbang Gabi, no more midnight snacks, no more late night chats and no more late night movie marathons. I am starting to get a hang of my coming back to reality mode, by making a big change in my working habits. Staying focus in my work and less internet time, haha! So far I’m doing great, I know I can do this. Occasional checking of my blog, Yahoo mail and Twitter won’t hurt me, besides I need diversion from time to time.

I was having sort of bad day yesterday in the office. One of my not so “close” colleague” pissed me off. It was not the first time that she did this to me. Maybe she’s not that sensitive when it comes to dealing with people. Maybe she is just used in getting what she wants, when she wants it. I do not mind doing favors for other people, but I just don’t want to be volunteered without being asked first. Call me sensitive I don’t care, with this mood I left the office early to meet my cousin Tei.

Tei and I met in Greenbelt 3, we are  shopping for her accessories tonight. We went to Greenbelt 5 to look for a perfect neck piece to go with her tube dress. We went to Kashieca, Bayo, Zara, Mng, Promod and ALDO, only to find elegant but a bit pricy for a fancy accessory. Still undecided we went to The Ramp, fitted several bib necklace but no luck in finding a perfect one.

To cut the story short, Tei did not buy anything for herself last night, but I did. haha! We were in ALDO accessories when I spotted some sandals hangging under the SALE rack, I saw the sandals that I have wanted for a long time! From the original price of 2k+ to 1.6k it was a very good deal, it was really my lucky night because they still have my size. Weeeeeeeee! I did not think twice, got my credit card and swiped! In an instant I felt I was healed, haha! Healed from my negative thoughts on what had happened in the office earlier. Healed from my stressful life. Healed from feeling hungry. Whew! Retail therapy indeed is a good healer!

Pressured and Lovin’ it!

I woke up 5:20 AM today just to snooze my alarm, its hard to wake up this early everyday, especially now that the nights are longer.  I just want to sleep more every time I hear my phone goes off to wake me up. It seems that I sleep less and less every night and wake up rather tired and wanting to rest more. But knowing how far I live from where I work makes me get up at the sound of my second alarm. Its 5:30 AM, and coding day Thursday for me and my carpool mates.

We arrived here in Makati on the dot to beat the 7AM coding. Ate Mela, Madel and My self had a good hearty breakfast at Kenny Rogers. The food was great but the service was blah. It was a good way to start the morning, good food and nice chat. Then off we go to our respective offices as usual I was the first one to arrive here in GSO.

Whew! back to work guys! It’s like I never left last night. Same shiz! Same stuff! Same peeps! I just don’t know why I never get tired of this. Oh I know why, with all the expenses and shopping that I have planned to do? I really need to work, haha! No right for laziness! No excuses! I just need to look at the brighter side, more work means more money, more money means more shopping…  Besides I am also having a blast doing all these stuffs for my beloved bosses, haha! I can feel the pressure and I’m lovin’ it!
