Trip na Trip: The Singapore-Malaysia Adventure

This is a super late post! Sorry guys! I was not able to update my blog because I was so busy. Busy at work, busy at ebay, busy chatting, busy fooling around, hahaha! Oh well, before I knew it March is gone like a blur. My March was so exciting that I haven’t got time to blog the details. I don’t intend to keep this blog long since its already almost a month when this happened. So here it is. :P

March 9-15, when the world stops for the five of us, Mae, Kap, Glyn, Jon and Me! :) We planned this vacation last year to visit Dothy and her family in Singapore, and as the plan was progressing we agreed to take a side trip to Genting, Malaysia. First stop: SINGAPORE!!!

Next stop: GENTING, MALAYSIA!! Wohoooo! Aside from the annoying bus mate, we enjoyed Genting. From  the Cable Car going to the park  to the cold weather that greeted us there. We also have experience on how to live in Winter Wonderland.

pick, pack, boom!

5:57 AM – Just got back a while ago from the 8th Simbang Gabi, and surprisingly I can’t sleep. I tried every way that I can think of to induce sleep but I really can’t. I played every game in my iPod and tried to read a book, but still my eyes are wide open. ARRGGHHHH! What to do??? Oh why don’t I try blogging? Haha!

So here goes…

I was suppose to get my things packed last night but I have not touched anything from my closet. I was really preoccupied fixing my files and playing Cafe World in Facebook. Haha! I was also busy downloading applications for my new 3.1 Apple software. Weeeeee! Can’t get over this, haha! I was really happy and satisfied in my software update, really worth the price. Some of the applications that I have downloaded are Facebook browser, TweetDeck, Twitteriffic, Units, WordPress (a must!), and Games! Games! Games! Whew! I was thinking of purchasing full versions of some games that I have, but I was taken a back because I promise myself not to spend anymore. Grrrrr! God help me!!!

Back to my packing or the none of it. I am going to celebrate Christmas with my family in our province. We will travel by land tonight, not sure what time though because we will be waiting for Tei to come home first. She still has something to do in her office and her boss is giving her the hard time to leave early because of the Christmas party that they have today. Oh well that’s life! As for me, I am already on vacation leave since Monday, December 21, ain’t it grand? I can only imagine the bulk of emails waiting for me next year. Erk!

What to bring on my trip tonight? Ideally I would like to bring one backpack for this trip, I will bring my Toshiko, iPod (should think of a name for it), SmartBro Modem, good for 3 days clothes and shoes. Here’s the problem, having a fickle mind with what I am going to wear I tend to break the last one in my last to bring “good for 3 days clothes and shoes.” I am very guilty of this, haha! I tend to bring too many choices that ends up bringing one too many, haha! I am really stressed out with packing. Hopefully this time when I do my packing I can have a good judgement on what not to bring.

So excited to go home, I am excited to eat local delicacies, go to places, and see people. I only come home once or twice a year, so I make it a point that I go to places I want to visit and eat food that I know I surely miss. I do not go out as much as I want to when I am in our province, the lazy bug tends to bite me. As a true stay at home kind of girl, I hang out with my relatives and help out in our store a lot when I’m there. I so look forward to do those things, but first I have to endure the 8-9 hour drive. It’s all worth it! How I dream of waking up late and eating pansit for breakfast. Uhrmmm reality check, I need to pack my bags first and I’m starting to do it now. :)

Update: 7:17AM – Done packing! Weeeeee! 1 back pack as promised, shoes not included, haha!

I woke up late yesterday only to find out that no body cooked breakfast. Hungry and still a little groggy from sleep, I opened our stock cabinet looking for corned beef. Found nothing but cans and cans of sardines from relief goods that were given to us last September. I saw some thing that was in pack and pulled it out. TADAAAA! It was my pasalubog from Kuya Raul’s Indonesia trip. This is perfect, I have craved for Nasi Goreng for the past week. Oh how I miss my Indonesia Trip. :(

I read the instructions at the back of the package and looked for the ingredients needed. I was lucky to find out that we have shrimp in the fridge. This is so meant to happen, haha! Cooked the package according to instructions, asked Mama Ti to cook scrambled eggs, and here is the finished product. Yum! Yum! Yum!

It was like going back to Jamie’s home in Indonesia all over again. I miss that place! :( I miss her room, the entertainment room, the dining and kitchen area and I miss the pool, waaaaaaaaaa! I remembered we swam in the pool when the rain stopped. We were re-enacting Blue Crush hahaha! *Paddle! Paddle! Paddle* hahahahaha! Do you see how food reminds me of what I have done for the past? haha! I love eating and traveling. I hope some day I will return to Indonesia and feast on some of the food that were introduced to me in my past trip.  Wishful thinking! haha! Whew!
