busy bee… all is well and happy! :)

My social calendar has never been this busy! :) Not that I’m complaining but since last week I am on a roll! From my afternoon jog/ walks with Jamie, to shopping with Claire and Pietro to my jam-packed Outlook emails! When it rains it really pours. Oh my! Happy to be a busy bee to keep my mind off things.  Quoting my boss “Idle mind Evil thoughts” hahaha! What a way to brain wash me to do all his reports. Well to tell you frankly I am not planning to do all the sulking and forget all my other responsibilities. I still function the same in the office, at home and in my free time. :)

Can’t wait for this coming weekend! :) Despite the busy busy busy schedule that I will have next week, I will have my reward on Friday! WEEEEEEEE! Acuatico Beach Resort here we come! :) Can’t believe we will have our intimate group outing this weekend! Ha! What  a way to relax and leave the my city life, even just for a day. Super looking forward to hang out with my office mates and their families. :) Another much-needed break. :)

So many things to do, so little time… Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving this kind of schedule now. Just in time to save me from my occasional emo breakdowns. :) To all my friends and family, thanks for taking care of me. Thanks for being there when I need you. Thanks for staying with me through thick and thin. Who can ask for more when I got you guys? :) I can never re-pay what you’re doing for me now, but I will fight to death for you guys. PROMISE! and this promise will never be broken! I love you so much! :)

Trip na Trip: The Singapore-Malaysia Adventure

This is a super late post! Sorry guys! I was not able to update my blog because I was so busy. Busy at work, busy at ebay, busy chatting, busy fooling around, hahaha! Oh well, before I knew it March is gone like a blur. My March was so exciting that I haven’t got time to blog the details. I don’t intend to keep this blog long since its already almost a month when this happened. So here it is. :P

March 9-15, when the world stops for the five of us, Mae, Kap, Glyn, Jon and Me! :) We planned this vacation last year to visit Dothy and her family in Singapore, and as the plan was progressing we agreed to take a side trip to Genting, Malaysia. First stop: SINGAPORE!!!

Next stop: GENTING, MALAYSIA!! Wohoooo! Aside from the annoying bus mate, we enjoyed Genting. From  the Cable Car going to the park  to the cold weather that greeted us there. We also have experience on how to live in Winter Wonderland.

Merry Christmas! :)

Is it Christmas again or what?! I got several gifts for the past week for myself from my AIP and from the GCs that I won last Christmas. It feels like I am in the Christmas mood all over again. Weeee! Well, Christmas shopping mood for that matter, minus the money spent, haha! Let’s see what did I get free for the past weeks..

1. Free Lunch in Dads/ Saisaki Buffet – It was a getting off lunch for Ate Rhoda and we were kinda’ avoiding the fire drill in TEC so we went off to Dads to eat lunch. :) Double whammy! I get to eat for free and got free from going down 20th Floor, which was hundreds of  flight of stairs. We went out early lunch and got back at 3PM. Haha!

2. Liz Claiborne Sling Bag from my Rustan’s GCs – I have held on to my Rustan’s GC for the past Christmas Season. I was really saving it for something I need. Endless trips to Rustan’s were major torture. It gave me a hard time to concentrate on my needs as to my wants. Since I have this trip to Singapore next month, I got this idea that I need to have a sling bag big enough to hold some of the important things that I need, but small enough to comfortably carry around. We looked around Rustan’s Gateway and found this Black Liz Claiborne Sling Bag, and in an instant I fell in love with it!, I must have this! I need this! I want this! But it was too late and the store was closing up, so we decided to leave. When I got back the next weekend it was sold! Huhuhu! Knowing my very persistent self I decided to raid Rustan’s Makati, luckily I was shown this same bag and I never let it go. Haha!

3. Levi’s Boyfriend Jeans from Ate Mel and Daddy Henry – As promised Ate Mel brought home a jeans for me from Vietnam. I was really excited because she told me that Daddy was looking for one jeans for me from their production. Ate Mel told me that she will bring it on her next trip here in the Philippines for the CNY break. I got this yesterday, praying that it would fit and some what look good in me. I really love the light weight denim feel, the distressed look and over all appearance of the Boy Friend Jeans. I tried the jeans on while I was in the office and it was perfect! Now I am thinking how to dress this up and what perfect top and shoes to wear. I am so psyched to wear this! :) Thanks Ate and Daddy for your gift. :)

Now I am in the mood for some Christmas Song! Haha! Doesn’t it feels like Christmas?! :) Oh well, I want to thank all those who made me feel Christmas this mid-February! Thank you guys! I love you all! Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!

valentine shopping weekend

I am not a fan of Valentine’s Day. I don’t know why, I’m just not. I love sappy movies, sweet stuff but I am not  that sappy and that sweet myself. So as far as I know my self, I do not look forward to this occasion. No offense meant people, it’s just my opinion. :) Yesterday was no different from the rest of the Valentine’s Day that I had, but regardless I was happy surrounded by the people I love and the things that I got for my self, haha!

Saturday we were at Boni High St. to replace the Nike+ Sportsband kit that I got. Luckily they agreed to replace my defective item with apparel, woohooo! Got one Yoga Shirt and a Top for Running, I decided to share the amount left to Jon and he decided to get earphones for running. :)

IMG_4168

Sunday, Valentines day we went back to Bonofacio High St. to ask help with the Nike+ sensor of Jon and to look for an iPod case for Tei. We were window shopping in Topshop when I saw a perfect Black Ballet Flats and I knew I have to buy it! It was love at first sight. I was really looking for a black foot wear because the only black sandals that I bought when Diane and I were in Singapore is already begging for its retirement. Poor thing, it was really abused by my sadistic feet. Tsk Tsk! To cut the story short I got the flats. Weeee!

IMG_4164

Before going home we went to Apple Center – SM Marikina to buy the iPod case of Tei because she did not find anything that she liked in iStudio. After our short trip in Apple Center, Jon, Tei and myself ate in BK, while eating we were discussing what eyewear should I buy for myself. There’s this Rayban Wayferer that I have eyed for the longest time and there’s this Oakley Jupiter same as Jon’s eye wear. I was having a hard time looking or the perfect Rayban Wayferer size for myself because their small which is common in the market does not fit me well. So I have settled to the other bigger size, it’s either medium or large, but it was very hard to find. :(

We went to Magno Optical Metro East to check if they have an available size of the Black Rayban Wayferer that I want. Wow! it must be my day, because not only that they have it in Medium it was also on SALE! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I bought the eye wear in an instant and we will live happily ever after, hahaha! Well I hope we will. :P My Valentine week-end was a blast,  if this happens every year maybe I’ll change my mind about the occasion and celebrate it myself, minus being cheesy and clingy. :P

the holiday hangover….

Holidays are over and I grew older, I can’t get over my long vacation leave. I want more!!! I had my first day in the office yesterday, a total of 237 emails, with 3 junk mails greeted me in Outlook. Sorted them first then answered the important once. A part of me was glad that I was back to work but I felt very lazy and sleepy. As the afternoon progressed, I was excited to go home. I missed Toshiko, my bed, late night chats and sleepless nights. I can’t wait for the weekend to come. :)

I went home at exactly 5PM a while ago, to return my buy to Just G because of some tear at the back of the blouse. I bought some stuff in the boutique last Sunday as a gift for my self for my birthday. Well first thing’s first, I bought rompers again, haha! I don’t know why I’m loving this trend. :) Here is the picture of my last rompers buy, you may not appreciate as its lying on the floor, but this is so cute when worn. :)

IMG_4085

Ain’t it cute?? :)

Uhm… Back to my story, I approached the counter in Just G to show my purchase yesterday. The sales lady told me that I can only choose something from their SALE rack. I did not find anything that I like in their SALE rack and have decided to refund my money, good thing the sales lady got an approval from their manager that I can choose the replacement from their regular priced pieces.  Having limited choices because of size limitations, I chose a sleeveless number with side pockets. Not really happy with my purchase but, they left me no choice, I’m thinking of selling this in eBay. Hopefully someone will buy it. :)

As Diane would say “Oh Well Papel” back to the real world. No more Simbang Gabi, no more midnight snacks, no more late night chats and no more late night movie marathons. I am starting to get a hang of my coming back to reality mode, by making a big change in my working habits. Staying focus in my work and less internet time, haha! So far I’m doing great, I know I can do this. Occasional checking of my blog, Yahoo mail and Twitter won’t hurt me, besides I need diversion from time to time. :)

My New Year Goals

Today is December 31 last day of the year and hours from now we will say good bye to 2009. Looking back to the year that was, it was one hell of a roller coaster ride. From my father’s health scare, to Ondoy flood, to new responsibilities in the office with out a raise, to living alone (or not), to welcoming new social sites, friends and blogging. Whew! What a year!

When I was young I use to make new years resolution that only lasted for about a month. Yes people it has an expiration date, haha! Come February or March I usually have an amnesia, like ” Huh? Did I promise not to do that?? ” As I grew older my new years resolution were more achievable, like going to mass every week or cooking every weekend, etc. This coming 2010 I would like to set my goals the more realistic way, so I decided to omit the  word “resolution” in this blog, as this reminds me of my childhood unbelievable resolutions, haha!

My New Year Goals:

1. Eat healthy and drink more water

2. Exercise more

3. Spend more time with my family when I can

4. Go to mass every week

5. Save Save Save

6.  Cook more often

7. Be more girly, fab and fashionable

8. Blog more

9. Travel as long as I can

10. Learn to apply ”Compartmentalization”

So there’s my list. Hopefully I meet at least half of my goals. *crossing my fingers*  As I look back the year that was, amidst all the chaos, triumph and CHORVAS. All in all I can say that it was a good year. This will help me prepare to face the year ahead. Hopefully, some dramas will go away, and all wounds and health problems be healed. Now let’s all wave and welcome the coming year with a brave heart and smile ”Hello 2010!” :)

All I want for Christmas is…

Happy Holidays! Woohoooo! What a way to celebrate the birthday of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by spending quality time with our loved once. I arrived here in our province at exactly 4 AM, December 24, just in time for the 9th day of Simbang Gabi. Without even thinking I decided to attend the mass. Haha! I didn’t even care that I just woke up and I was wearing sleeveless. Good thing I was able to borrow a jacket from Mama Ti, it was really freezing cold. Bbbrrrrr!
What an accomplishment! I was able to attend the 9 morning masses before the birth of Jesus. Weeeee! As a Filipino tradition, we make a wish if we were able to complete the 9 morning masses. I actually do not believe in making wishes, so my 9 morning sacrifices, was in a way for me saying thank you for the year that was. Thank you for everything that we went through as a family. Problems that we faced and obstacle we have conquered. From the Ondoy Flood, to the health of my father, we experienced this as a family, and we will fight this as a family. However, I have one wish for every one that I love, and hopefully BRO will grant this, please… :)

Christmas Eve and Christmas day were celebrated by going to mass and eating as a family. Today was extra special; we were in Tayum to celebrate it with our helpers in our store and small piggery. Everyone was participating in the parlor games. It was perfect good food, raffle prizes, gifts, and family, need I say more? :) We left Tayum at 5PM, we had a tiring but a day filled with fun and laughter. Hopefully we celebrate next year’s holiday like this one. I don’t mind 8 long hour drive coming home as long as we celebrate Christmas as a family and happy. :)

pick, pack, boom!

5:57 AM – Just got back a while ago from the 8th Simbang Gabi, and surprisingly I can’t sleep. I tried every way that I can think of to induce sleep but I really can’t. I played every game in my iPod and tried to read a book, but still my eyes are wide open. ARRGGHHHH! What to do??? Oh why don’t I try blogging? Haha!

So here goes…

I was suppose to get my things packed last night but I have not touched anything from my closet. I was really preoccupied fixing my files and playing Cafe World in Facebook. Haha! I was also busy downloading applications for my new 3.1 Apple software. Weeeeee! Can’t get over this, haha! I was really happy and satisfied in my software update, really worth the price. Some of the applications that I have downloaded are Facebook browser, TweetDeck, Twitteriffic, Units, WordPress (a must!), and Games! Games! Games! Whew! I was thinking of purchasing full versions of some games that I have, but I was taken a back because I promise myself not to spend anymore. Grrrrr! God help me!!!

Back to my packing or the none of it. I am going to celebrate Christmas with my family in our province. We will travel by land tonight, not sure what time though because we will be waiting for Tei to come home first. She still has something to do in her office and her boss is giving her the hard time to leave early because of the Christmas party that they have today. Oh well that’s life! As for me, I am already on vacation leave since Monday, December 21, ain’t it grand? I can only imagine the bulk of emails waiting for me next year. Erk!

What to bring on my trip tonight? Ideally I would like to bring one backpack for this trip, I will bring my Toshiko, iPod (should think of a name for it), SmartBro Modem, good for 3 days clothes and shoes. Here’s the problem, having a fickle mind with what I am going to wear I tend to break the last one in my last to bring “good for 3 days clothes and shoes.” I am very guilty of this, haha! I tend to bring too many choices that ends up bringing one too many, haha! I am really stressed out with packing. Hopefully this time when I do my packing I can have a good judgement on what not to bring.

So excited to go home, I am excited to eat local delicacies, go to places, and see people. I only come home once or twice a year, so I make it a point that I go to places I want to visit and eat food that I know I surely miss. I do not go out as much as I want to when I am in our province, the lazy bug tends to bite me. As a true stay at home kind of girl, I hang out with my relatives and help out in our store a lot when I’m there. I so look forward to do those things, but first I have to endure the 8-9 hour drive. It’s all worth it! How I dream of waking up late and eating pansit for breakfast. Uhrmmm reality check, I need to pack my bags first and I’m starting to do it now. :)

Update: 7:17AM – Done packing! Weeeeee! 1 back pack as promised, shoes not included, haha!

It was officially my last day in the office for this year yesterday. Whew! What a year it has been… Roller coaster tasks, unpredictable directions and fun breaks, all this happened in my little messy corner in GSO office. I was really cleaning up my place before leaving just to prepare for a more organized 2010, I hope. Filed some of my clutter in their respective file folders, cleared up some spaces and hid all my garbage in my plastics containers.

As I was doing all the cleaning and fixing my things I was thinking of the things that had happened to me earlier that week. I was tasked to organize a Kris-Kringle for our group in GSO and some of the selected people from our office. It was really fun especially the revelation lunch. It was intense and full of laughter. I picked someone who hated me for a long time, haha! Something happened between us a long time ago and I don’t want to elaborate it. Not worth the space level of pettiness. In fairness the group were very casual and civil about the ”me picking her” part. I think we are destined to be friends again, because yesterday when we have our 5:01 Raffle she picked my name and I won something hahaha! I just noticed I get lucky with raffles lately, last Friday in our Christmas Party I also got picked to win Rustan’s GC.  God know I need these small pick-uppers, haha! Thank you Lord! :)

December 16 was the start of the Simbang Gabi, and I am very proud to say that I am on the right track in completing the 9 morning masses. It is very hard to wake up in the morning, especially with this kind of weather. Every morning is a struggle. Struggle to open my eyes, struggle to take a bath and struggle to fight sleep. My car even gave up on me, so I walk my way to the church and back at home. I am really determined to complete the 9 morning mass this year, as a sign of me being very thankful to my creator. In spite all the tragedies and problems that we had, we are still here and we survived as a family. There are many things that happened to us, but our faith can help us cope and understand things better. So instead of complaining that we have so many problems ,I chose to wake up and face the day with big smile on my face. :)
