Grammys Here I Come! :-P

I got this little game from my FB, I was tagged by one of my friends, so here I gave it a try…

Rules of the Game:

1. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page and click on “Random Article”. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2. Go to http://quotationspage.com/ and click on “Random Quotes”. The last few words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3. Go to http://www.flickr.com/explore/ and click on “Interesting photos from the last seven days”. The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. And in case you decide to post the final product, even if we’re just doing this for fun, don’t forget to acknowledge whoever owns the original image!

4. Use Photoshop to put it all together.

5. And voila, you’ve got you band’s CD album cover!

- Just to add more fun to the Album cover game, I decided to repeat Step 1 and 2, for my 12 album tracks, haha! Enjoy! :)

*Drum Roll* Presenting the future “Album of the Year!” Hahahaha!

Another Yoga Post… :)

I hate doing my Chaturanga Dandasana! In lay man’s term, I hate doing low push-ups! Having weak upper body low push-ups gives me a hard time. After each Yoga session, I feel the pain in my arms, shoulders and upper back. If I can get away in doing Chaturanga I will, but it’s a part of Vinyasa sequence that Eunice asks us to do. I have been attending Yoga classes in the office as a part of my fitness goal, I love everything about it, but I just hate this Chaturangga pose.

March Yoga classes began last Thursday; we just started because we had our Media Launch last Tuesday/ March 1. I am the Yoga class organizer and as one of my perks I get to set the date on my availability, haha! No Anne, no Yoga, haha! We started a bit late last Thursday; we waited for someone who was late because of some certain issues that need to be addressed.

We started with “Surya Namaskar A” or Sun Salutation A like we always do, then move to “Surya Namaskar B” or Sun Salutation B. This is done to warm up our bodies for the more challenging poses. As a part of both “Surya Namaskar A and B,” we have to do “Chaturanga Dandasana” as we flow from one pose to the other. Usually after the “Uttanasa” or Forward Fold, we go straight to Plank Pose then followed by the dreaded “Chaturanga”; we rest after with Downward Facing Dog. Whew! Just thinking about the routine makes me sweat in my mind.

During our “Surya Namaskar” routines I discovered something. It actually surprised me. I was able do the modified version of “Chaturanga.” Weeeee! Babaw ba? Hahaha! Even if I was only able to do the modified version, the one with the knees on the floor supporting your upper body, I am really happy. I was able to dip low enough, and feel my triceps and biceps working. Nice one! : ) What an accomplishment, haha! Now I can’t get enough of it, hahaha! Awhile ago I was doing the “Vinyasa” breath flow movement, challenging my body to do “Chaturanga”. Haha! Addicted much? Haha! Can’t wait for my Yoga class tomorrow! : ) Now I can see the improvement in my body. I still have a long long long long way to go, but I am inspired to challenge my body more. I so love Tuesdays and Thursdays! : ) I can’t wait to turn my so called “hate” to “love” in doing my “Chaturangas.”

Week Long Update

2 weeks has passed since my last entry in this blog. I was experiencing a writer’s block as I try to write update my blog last weekend. I keep on staring at the blank new post page as I think on how I will write all the things that have been happening to me. Staring led me to closing the page and moving on to my One Tree Hill Marathon. So here just to update you on some of the things that I have been doing for the past 2 weeks, I will write bits and pieces that I can remember haha!

Chinese Food Overload

“Utang na loob tantanan na natin ang Chinese Food” That was my battle cry, but every time I say that I fail, haha! As a proof of my failure, here are the precise and actual orders that I ate for the past week of my boring life:

Dinner with Rhea – Shrimp Siomai/ Salted Fish Rice – David’s Teahouse – Greenbelt 1

Lunch with Dockers Team and Jr – Beef Wanton Noodle Soup – David’s Teahouse – Greenbelt 1

Late Lunch/ Snack with Rhea in Trinoma – Beef Brisket Noodle Soup – Le Ching Teahouse/ Trinoma

Dinner with Family – 2 orders of Shrimp Siomai – David’s Teahouse – Q-Plaza

And now… Thinking of Beef Wanton Noodle Soup and Siomai – David’s Teahouse – Q-Plaza

Anyone knows the delivery number of David’s Teahouse in Q-Plaza? I know this addiction to Chinese food and particularly Siomai won’t go away. I love Siomai! It helped me get through my break-up, hahaha! Seriously, this is really my ultimate comfort food.

MB Thanksgiving Party

Dockers® Team was invited in the MB Thanksgiving Party and we decided to go. As our contact there informed us there are big ticket prices at stake if we attended the party. Just to name a few, attendees have the chance to win printers, cameras, cash prices and a brand new Mini Cooper. What are the odds that one of us will take home the grand prize right? We don’t even need to purchase anything so we confirmed our RSVP and went to the party. Well no one from our team won haha! But we enjoyed good food and fun performances. After the party Rhea, Jac and I went to Eastwood to window shop, we were about to watch a movie but we missed the last full show. Jac went home after the window shopping, while Rhea and I enjoyed our cocktails in AGAVE. : )

Shopping and Deliveries

From the TEC Office to Magic 89.9 to Robinson’s Galleria to RX 93.1 to Trinoma to SM Megamall! Whew! Our schedule was crazy! We did this the weekend before our Media Launch. I was looking for an outfit while Rhea was looking for shoes. Before we did our shopping we went to 2 radio stations to drop off our Media Launch invites. We went to Magic 89.9 first, had our lunch before going to R RX 93.1. After all the errands, shopping time! : )

I need perfect pair khaki chinos, no bold branding, and chic enough to be worn for a special event but rugged enough to be worn for no denim days. Got what I was looking for in Topshop, a bit pricy but perfect for my specifications. I also got a top from Bayo to go with my chinos but I did not wear it on the event, because I found a perfect top sitting in my closet. I will wear the Bayo top some other time. I bought a very comfy 3 inch wedge in VNC to go with my chinos and it was so nice that it did not give me any discomfort during and after the event.

St. Pio Mass

I finally got a chance to go to the afternoon mass in St. Pio last Sunday. My parents were here for my father’s monthly check up so I asked them if we could go there for our Sunday mass. The priest was different because we caught the afternoon mass. As usual the mass was very solemn, just perfect to thank God for all His blessings, to reflect and ask for enlightenment on things that matters and problems that gets out of hand. Thank you for everything Lord! : )

Media Launch

It’s show time! The day we have been waiting for finally arrived. We were so stressed and busy for the past few weeks because of this, I am not in the position to tell you anything about our launch but I think it went well. It was well attended, but we got a tough crowd, no clapping and no cheering. One of our media guests sang “Born to be Wild” and I can literally hear the crickets after the song, haha! I enjoyed the rest of the evening after the Fashion Show, chatting with guests and office mates. Haaayyy! Kakapagod, but I guess it’s all worth it especially we get good hits about it. Let’s wait and see. : )

Movie

Rhea and I decided to reward ourselves with a little movie after the grueling preparation and Media Launch. We went to Eastwood which is near to our respective homes. It was raining but because we worked our ass off during the past few weeks we know we truly deserve this movie break. We watched “I am Number Four” I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I see the characters John and Henry are like walking ad of Dockers® haha! Most of the time I see them in their khakis, it’s like walking thru that fashion show outfits again, haha! I love the movie! Action packed and exciting. Looking forward to the next movie that I will watch, I have a pretty long line up actually. : )

So that was it! : ) I have to go because I need to prepare for Jamie’s play later. Don’t miss me wordpress, promise I will “try” my very best to update this blog. Byeee! : )
